Hi all, my name is Christiaan, I am 24 years old and I live in the Netherlands. I started collecting Italian military of the period 1922-1945 around four years ago.
Finding Italian military, documentation and information in the Netherlands is quite hard, since the interest for this piece of history is over here almost none existing.
Nevertheless I found some good reference books which enabled me to build up my still growing collection.

The reasons for joining this forum are learning from the expertise here available, share ideas and thoughts and have fun.

Initially I need some help on this forum, because I have some pieces in my collection of which I don’t now their correct name and function, hopefully you all could help, which I would much appreciate. Some off those pieces I suspect of being post-war. Do not directly judge me on those pieces, as they are my pieces of doubt.
The crown piece of my collection is by the way a Fascist Model 1939 dress dagger.

Greetings,

Christiaan

Thanks David and Fanatic_Blitzer for your welcome!

Fanatic_Blitzer; I thought I was all alone in Holland, considering collecting Italian militaria. Nice to see that is not the case.
I am also present on Dutch fora, but they cannot really help me. I hope with the wisdom on this fora I can shift out the mistakes I made and improve my collection.

Well, I hate to say this, but I dont collect militaria. :( But that doesnt mean Im not interested in it. Some day I will start my own collection, but with so few suppliers here in Holland, it will be hard, since I dont really trust the internet.

Hello to you all!!!How are you,my friends?
I'm Alex, and I'm from Turin(the home of FIAT motors,Juventus F.C. and Olympic Winter Games 2006),Italy.I'm a former player of Giaguari Torino and I played in defensive line like defensive tackle, but lots of injury and work that eats always more time I've stopped my "career"(football here hasn't much followers)at the end of last season.I miss football.Well,I'm an estate agency in the biggest factory of Italy and in free time I go to Militaria events and in antique store. My passions are primaly the story and the items of WWII,but I like also about Vietnam.
Since some months ago I'm single, because my lady doesn't love my passion.Who have a wife/girl who don't scream when a new item arrive at home is a true lucky man!!!
Please to you all:forgive me for my bad english!!!
Take care!
Alex.
P.S.:A great "HELLO!!!" to my friend Arditi!!!You're great,Dude!!! :D

Outside linebacker & Kicker/Punter for Poole Bay Panthers 1987.

Outside linebacker for Bournemouth Bulldogs 1988-90.

In my last year we beat Australia in a friendly.

Embarrassingly, my career ending knee injury was in training.
Cheers; Dave.

Actually, in a sense I do. Since, as you can see, my "furry children" sometimes seat at the human table (else, they may take offence).

hm...German Riesling wine...
