Introduce Yourself

Postby gbotto » Thu Feb 12, 2004 5:45 pm

along with the many "veterans" we also seem to have many new members

this topic could be used for the new and old alike  to tell us alittle about themselves and how they came to this forum

Webmasters Note: Good post Gbotto. Members...Please do not reply to others posts. This is strictly an introduction forum for members to describe themselves (interests, lifestyles, etc). If you care to ask questions on a comment, please do so in a new post or through PM and email. Thanks.

Good idea Botto.

I`m Italian. I like military History, like political things, and especially Propaganda music, fascist songs and the likes.

I found the site as I explained earlier, thanks to the Search Engines.

I live in France and whenever I can... I am a guitarist singer (normal songs obviously :) Otherwise I`m off dead especially here in "European Democracy").

Another thing: I like text adventure games based on mostly anything (hell even World war II, what the hell) and Hearts of Iron (along with Victoria) being the games I play mostly at the moment.

Either way, thanks for the Welcoming and I might as well say "WELCOME EVERYONE"

I also am Italian

Postby Dominick » Fri Feb 13, 2004 8:39 pm

I also am of Italian decent and get the "Italians are cowards" deal in class. Its not that we were cowards, we were some of the bravest soldiers of the war. It took bravery to fight the English with the equipemnt we had. Its not that we were cowards, we lacked proper equipemrnt to fight Britan.
I also enjoy politics, Military History and Italian history
I'm 16 and a high school student

I have no Italian heritage. (I am in actuality majority english) I still take a liking to military history and all sorts of common fields. And on claims of Italian "cowardace" I find them very wrong. The italians had alot of guts just everyone cheats them on their glory and does not give them credit due.

I guess I should join in, even though I talk a little about myself on the site.

I'm presently 35 years old and live in Malden, Massachusetts, which is a subburb of the larger and more well known Boston, Massachusetts.

I am divorced with two children that reside in Allentown, PA with their mom, but they come and stay with me every summer or when they have a few days free from school

My interests include website design, Italian military history, model building, bass guitar and cooking. Attached is a recent photo for any of our single "female" viewers who I hope think "bald is sexy" :)

Hm, good idea!

I'm from the Danmark, work as a publice servant, currently single (of sorts), and I'm 29 (alarmingly close to 30) years old.

I think I found Comando S via a www-search looking for Italy during WW2. Even though I only joined recently, I've used the site for some time.

I, of course, like history, politics, lifting weights, getting my 6 kicked while boxing (HW), writing, reading and concerts (rock/hard rock).

Best regards to ya all!

- Jan Michael Johansen (which is my real name).

Hi everybody!
I have already introduced myself, but going through some old papers today I found a photo of my little self in the quite interesting battle dress of the Paratroopers of the Italian Army, 1963 period, when we were wearing the two-piece camo suit designed in the latest stages of the RSI. The beret was the old grey-green issue, worn "Decima MAS"style, another "survival" of the RSI. In the photo Iam the smaller one, the gangly chap was my Sergeant.

A little introductio of me...

My name is Paolo (Paolino for all my friends, that in Italian stands for "Little Paul", but I'm exactly the opposit of small! :D ).

I'm 26 years old (Friday is my birthday 8) ), I work as a production programmer in an important electrical company in Italy. I live in Italy, Legnano, a city about 30 km far from Milan. with my parents. Unfortunatly, single at the moment

I'm interested in Italian IIWW history (especially RSI's period), modelling, music (I sing as a tenor). I like bicycling and walking on the mountains.

I also have a little website about RSI's uniforms and insignas.

I found Comandosupremo surfing on the net, looking for Italian IIWW's web sites

Paolino

Hello,

I have just arrived and I discovered this forum (after my ten first spots...).

I am a French men, of thirty years old. I participate in certain strategicals studies groups, but i'm more interested on Historicals matters, specially military history.

I began in the Renaissance Warfare, a revolution in the way of doing war.

I am now interested on the operations during WWII in mediterranean.

But I'm working too on Napoleonic era (an obligated point for a french !).

I'm coming in Italy (Marseille is near the italian border) twice or three times a year (especially Toscana, Lazio or Milano).

Of course, I'm a supporter of soccer team (Marseille first, and AS ROMA).

I hope I will find the answers to my numerous questions, thanks to you (it has just began), and I guess I could help someone to find what he's looking for.

I'm sorry for my poor english, but the french school system is very bad for foreign languages.

Bests regards

CM

Here goes!!! I live in picturesque Cumbria in the U.K. (lake district) and I'm 33 years old, I am a police Sgt and am currently single but dating...I found the site some time back via a search organ. In my spare time I read a lot, cook and race cars (current racer is an Alpine Renault). I have been interested in military and particularly Italian history since school when I studied it for A level (16-18yrs old)......I also have a fascination with all things Roman (grade a Latin o-level!!)
Yes you will find another woman Paolino....I came out of a 7 year relationship last year and have been (pleasantly) suprised by how many there are around......been a very enjoyable time

How to describe the Sergemaster?? Well I am now 39 years old and I also live in the state of New Jersey.

I have been a big fan of this site for 6 years now. I am 1st generation half Italian and half German. I often describe this mix as "1 half wants to rule the world while the other half wishes to cook for it".

I was in the Army Guard for 7 years and my hobbies include weightlifting, political science, philosophy and firearms. My main passion is being a W.W.2 reenactor and doing mostly an Italian impression.

Photos of me as this are posted within the forum. I will say it is good to finally be able to put faces to the many people I have been chatting with all this time. Great to finally meet you all kinda. I guess thats about it, huh??

A NOI!!
