Hello,

My name is Mike and I'm from New York. I'm a Marine and of Italian decent. So naturally that makes my interest...the San Marco Marines. Slowly I'm trying to piece together a uniform. My areas of interest also include San Marco history, armor, and the XaMas. I've also done alot of work with modding the Hearts of Iron series. So if you need any Italian sprites or music please let me know.

Regards,
Mike

Hello all! I live in Tampa Florida (USA) and am very interested in DECIMA MAS, as well as anything to do with Italy in either world war and the inter war period.

Ive just recently assembled a Decima MAS uniform and am looking at getting into a reenactment or two in the next year or so.

I also play historical wargames (28mm historical - Italian war in Abyssinia) and love models/miniatures in general.

Looking for some giudance specifically in the DECIMA MAS reenactment/gear subject area.

Thats about it for now.

Ciao!

Hello,

In the entire time I’ve been on this forum, I failed to notice this section. I just ran across it today and figured I should probably introduce myself …better late than never, no?

Let's see here... My real name is Frederick, I'm 26 and live just outside of Portland, Oregon. I'm not married and don't have kids (Meno male!). I'm currently in school (still  ) and majoring in German. Besides the military/history interests, I'm interested in languages: I have yet to take any Italian  , I took a year of Finnish and God-knows-how many years of German.

I started WWII reenacting as German infantry when I was 16, occasionally did German medic, and continued to up until 2008. At about that time, while still being interested in the history, I had grown tired of of reenacting. I hung out with my friend Mike (aka "milice*" on this Forum) who was in the same unit, was really into Italian and had also grown tired of reenacting German. After a while of hearing him only talk about how cool it'd be to reenact Italian, I thought it sounded interesting and finally agreed to give it a shot ...and here I am!

Besides the Italian army of WWII (both REI and RSI), I'm also interested in German military history in general, particularly the Great War, as well as the Finnish Army of WWII -both of which I'd also like to eventually reenact.

Well, I think that should about cover it!

Hi all,
I have to echo Frederick. I have also recently discovered this section and althougth I've been on the forum for less than a year I guess its time to formally introduce myself. My name is Jim (mauser98) and have been reenacting far longer than I care to admit. I'm from NY and like many reenactors, reenact several periods. I primiarily do US 3rd Infantry Divsion for WW2 and a couple of time each year, Luftwaffe Field Divison. I also do German WW1 and 71st NY Span-Am.
I became interested in Italian while I was researching a display project for a museum I volunteer at (American Airpower Museum) and was swept up by the RSI and in particular Decima Mas. I'm in the process of putting my XMAS kit together (mainly for living history events so far) and find it a facinating unit to protray.
This forum is a great option for collectors/reenators to learn from each other and to meet so terrific people.
All for now,

Hello deaR Sirs!:
Although I am here in Comando Supremo some years I never present you correctly. My name is Pedro-Manuel Ruíz,I am from Puertollano (Ciudad Real,Spain),really I have few things about my life only I like to study history very much,I read books of history also geography and really all my life turns to round the history and geography books.I study from severals years the history of the Italian and British Armies in the far lands of East Africa during the terrific Second World War.

I like very much my country,Spain, this is a very beautiful country. My interest by the study of the Italian Army started when I was a small child,in Spain when I was child during the 1970s had a very cheap toys that consisted in a small bags of soldiers of differents armies of the Second World War,that small bags of soldiers were manufactured by "Monta-Plex",a factory of toys situated in Esplugas de Llobregat (Cataluña).I grew in the Spain of General Franco and in that time the toys of the boys were the small bags of soldiers.I bought a bag of "Sidi Barrani battle" in the nomeclature of this bag put "Italian and British soldiers" but there weren´t Italian soldiers, there were !Germans!,I wanted to have Italian soldiers, one day of July 1973 or 1974 perhaps I found in the park of my town one candy posting in which had a bag of Italian soldiers and I jumped of happy.I asked to my mother that she was teacher, mother what was Sidi Barrani? and my mother answered: you must go to the enciclopedy, you seek the chapter of the Second World War and you must read it.I read few to few and I liked very much to read and to understand the things, then I started to study the history.

In the school my teachers asked to me: Pedro why in Mathematics you obtain few califications and in the Social Sciences (when I was child in Spain didn´t history neither geagraphy, had a very hard fascist dictadure with the General Franco, the few history that in the school studied was in the discipline named "Socials Sciences" this discipline was a rare mixture of the some chapters of the History of Spain,Rome empire, etc, also had some geography and sociology, really now as historian and geographer I understand the cause because Franco didn´t want that the Spanish people know the history, the reading of history books making to think and Franco didn´t want that the people think,he wanted that the people obey to him).

To study in the Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha was for me a great honour and privilege,in my land in the Almagro town had a university but this university closed during the terrific S.XIX.In Spain makes fault more culture.

Well this is a few the history of my life, dear friends.I would like to introduce one fotograph of me here, but I am a few clumsy for to do it.If anybody to say me how to put my foto then I shall put it.

One very great salute from Ciudad Real (Spain):
