Thanks Maurizio. Do you have any details of the TO&E before May 1942?

    AS TO&E

Did the Bersaglieri infantry battalions in AS have their a different TO&E from other AS infantry battalions and if they did have their own TO&E did it evolve as much as that for other AS infantry battalions did? Cheers, Neil

    AS TO&E

Thanks. I believe the report shows those units that were missing at the time of the report... they have a dotted line around them

From the Rommel's Riposte site I got this German Kriegsgliederung report for Pavia, presumably produced by a German staff officer attached to the division. Has anyone seen any Kriegsgliederung reports for other Italian formations?

Hi Jeff, do you have the UNFOC for other weapons: the 47/32, 75/27, 20/65 and 90/53 in particular? Cheers

Hi. Does anyone know what the official ammunition scale was for a Solothurn ATR team, i.e. how many rounds did a team carry? Thanks, Neil

    Explosive filler

Got this reply from another website: "I don't know about how Italian production might have differed, but since the Breda used the same 20 x 138B ammo as the German 2 cm Flak 30/38 etc I would assume that the HE contents would be comparable"

    Explosive filler

Yes, given that a FlaK 30/38 is 6-7g it does seem to be far too high...

    Explosive filler

20/65 explosive filler was 38g according to this...

    AS TO&E

Thanks David. Did a search for 'Misto Genio' as you suggested but didn't find anything more on its structure. Anyway it sounds like the battalion had 1 company of signallers and 1 of engineers. Cheers

    AS TO&E

Many thanks Maurizio. I believe the 1940 AS division had a TO&E of 10,978 men, the 1940 motorised division had a TO&E of 10,831 men, and the AS42 TO&E was 6,865 men... so your actual figures for the start of Crusader give an indication that the manpower strength of Trieste, Trento, Pavia and...

    Explosive filler

Thanks very much David. Hopefully the 20/65 filler I'll find... Once further one please: the MILMART 102/35 in RECAM and Ariete: I assume they had an HE shell as well as AP... do you have the filler for the HE shell? Cheers, Neil

    Explosive filler

Wow. Thanks David! I missed a couple: 20/65 90/53 I believe there was 1 artillery group in XXI Corps equipped with 12 120mm coast defence guns, but I do not know which type of 120mm naval guns they had. If you know which type they had and what the explosive filler for the HE shell was that would...

    Explosive filler

Hi everyone, I'm looking for the amount of explosive filler the mortar bombs/HE shells fired by the following weapons. Can anyone help? 45mm Brixia mortar 47/32 65/17 75/27 77/28 81/14 100/17 105/28 149/12 149/35 149/40 152/37 Thanks!

    AS TO&E

A follow up on this if I may Maurizio: "a Pavia company that was one of the best organized and equipped divisions of the moment could field 80 to 90 men against the 144 of its official TOE". As I understand it Pavia, as well as Bologna; were the most advanced of the divisions moving to the new...

    AS TO&E

Thanks for your information David. Please excuse my ignorance, but are the Artieri battalions assault engineers or general purpose engineers? If they are assault engineers then, like the Guastatori; you would expect them to have some LMGs, light mortars etc. as well as flame throwers. Do you...
