Great info, thanks much. slightly off this topic but do you have any info on the Ariete had been sent south of Rome to engage in a flanking attack during the battle, but they were called off after Carboni agreed to the surrender. The one source I was reading said that they had just starrted to engage the Germans when they were called off. It did not mention what elements were involved however. Do you know if this was artillery, armor, or infantry attatched to them that had participated in the fighting here.
