I am looking for a copy of an article from 1990-Donini, Luigi (1990). "Cryptographic Services of the Royal (British) and Italian Navies. A Comparative Analysis of their Activities during World War II". This appeared in Cryptologia XIV p126. Can any of you find me a copy please?

Don't know anything about this article, but have you seen the article in WARSHIP 2018, "Breaking 'Ultra'; The Cryptographic and Intelligence War between Britain and Italy, 1931 - 1943, by Enrico Cernuschi? Subtitled, "Enrico Cernuschi debunks some of the myths that have grown up around the success of 'Ultra', and provides an alternative Italian perspective"
Two articles by Luigi Donini are listed in the sources, both in Rivista Marittima.

No luck in finding a copy. I did discover that the article is in Vol. XIX Number 2 (April 1990).

I looked for the Rivista Marittima issue yesterday, but no luck. Their back issues are not available online. I believe there was a copy for sale, but I am not sure (I didn't note the website, likely Ebay).

I am in currently in Germany. When I return home, I will check to see if CARL has a subscription to Francis & Taylor.

Went to CARL today, but alas they no longer have an institutional Taylor & Francis account. I haver sent a request to the research desk to see if they can obtain a copy.

Agree. $60 here. I hope their research team will reach out to a partner library that has an account. Unfortunately the budget cuts and the polices of the president have severely impacted the services the library can offer.

Many thanks for the link. I had it bookmarked and then the website was rearranged and a lot of these historical documents seemed to disappear. The Royal Australian Navy did something similar because they thought nobody was reading them and it took a lot of badgering to get them to reinstate them.

Great find Jim. Please post the link in the Books, etc. as a easy to find reference wither RN Staff Histories as the topic.

Done. Posted the link to the entire set of publications (current and historic) from the RAN site as found on Internet Archive's Wayback Machine site
