Company "Fanfulla"?

Good morning everyone. (I'm the old inhocsignovinces) I have a question: in the military register of my wife's grandfather it mentions his transfer to one: 1st Saharian company "Fanfulla", in January 1941. Among the Saharian companies recreated after the annihilation of the column Maletti i have not found any evidence relating to a company with the nickname "Fanfulla". Anyone have any news on this? Thanks in advance. Ihsv

A quick check of my sources doesn't help answer this question. I am wondering if Fanfulla is the name of the company commander.

Hi there. Regarding the 1st Saharian Company Fanfulla it's an interesting case. It's possible it was a local informal unit or had a different name in the records. After the war some names got lost. Check the archives- you might find more info!
Also remember that during those times unit names often changed. Documentation was sometimes inaccurate. Sometimes just asking older folks can help maybe they know some anecdotes or remember that unit. Good luck with your search 😊
