I had thought a while back I made an inquiry regarding Italian trailers, Including Fuel tanker trailers, I know they existed but not there nomenclature, or really the various models
someone just posted this in the Italian Militaria Collectors facebook page and it's apparently for sale. No idea of its use or authenticity, but pretty interesting none-the-less
This topic is certainly treated in the two tomes of "Gli autoveicoli tattici e logistici del Regio Esercito Italiano fino al 1943", but unluckily they haven't been uploaded to the Issuu page of the "Rivista Militare" (to be more precise, they are present, but the files uploaded are wrong, if anybody knows how to signal this mistake to the keeper of that page he should do it).
As far as I know the primary producers were Viberti, Bertoja, Pavesi and Bartoletti.
Here instead there are some details about airless wheels used on trailers to save rubber (you can see some of them also in the link to the page of the Senato - Archivio Luce): https://www.autotecnica.org/pneumatico-airless-del-1942/
