Looking for a translation of the below. Thanks!!

Durante l'attacco in forze a Tobruk del settembre 1942, un gruppo di camionette inglesi andò a urtare contro un piccolo distaccamento di Carabinieri, undici uomini in tutto, appostati presso un varco. La reazione che essi opposero fu così efficace da far ritenere all'avanguardia inglese di trovarsi di fronte ad un reparto molto superiore e a ritirarsi.

"During the massive attack on Tobruk in September 1942, a group of British vehicles ran into a small detachment of Carabinieri, a total of eleven men, lying in waiting at a passage. The reaction they opposed was so effective that it led the British spearhead into believing that they were facing a much bigger force, and obliged them to withdraw".
