Machine gun battalion

Can someone help with the formation of the Italian machine gun battalions?

That is a broad question. Are you interested in a specific theater and/or date? As you are posting in Sicily, I am assuming Sicily 1943.

Take a look through the Regio Esercito topic. There is some battaglione mitraglieri information.

Hi. Yes, it is a bit of a broad question and, as you rightly surmised, specifically focused on Operation Husky in 1943. I'm working on some scenarios for Command Ops 2 and whilst the Italian OOB is widely available, the structure of some individual units can be hard to find.

So far, for heavy machinegun battalions, I have come across this:

I'd like to get hold of alternative reference sources so any recommendations would be appreciated.
