Just seen this thread which I find interesting. Whilst the 75/18 probably inherited the usual problems of underpowered engine and thin armour, it did have the advantage of a a more powerful gun, lower profile and a different role to the other a fiat tanks. I believe that it operated well considering all the aspects.

I have an old German report posted by Volketten I'll have to dig up. I thought it was odd that in the report they mentioned the Semovente was starting to become obsolete sometime in 1944. That's fairly late in the war for a short nosed 75mm. I suppose it was the ammunition (namely EP, EPS) that kept it servicable that late in the war.
