Hi, I wanted to create RN Aquila 3D model with some interior. But I couldnt find any 3D models or blueprints how the ship looked inside. Does anybody know if its posible if there are anywhere on the internet original blueprints? Or something like that.

Giving the general interest in the Aquila over the years, books written, etc. no detailed plans of the conversion have come to light/been mentioned as a source. If blueprints survived of the planned work, they would in the naval archives or at the ship builders. But I must stress again that no one has claimed to have seen/accessed such plans.

Do they still exist? It is possible. It will likely take someone willing to visit the various archives and digging through those records.

I certainly could be wrong, but a member who has a great interest in the ship will need to speak-up.

It then appears that the Achivo Ansaldo is where you will need to look. Information on the archive can be read here (click the English version).

The archive itself can be contacted through the Fondazione Ansaldo (click the English version).

Whether they will assist you via the internet is unknown by me. I feel it is a long shot. You can also ask the World of Warships people where/how they accessed the plans.

Article in Warship 2021, "The Italian Aircraft Carrier Aquila", by Michele Cosentino, had four pages of plans of the ship as a carrier, both outboard and inboard profiles along with deck plans. The credit on the plans is INHO [Italian Navy Historical Office]. Footnotes to the article cite to various folders of "INHO, Collection Aquila", including "Folder 11, Plans, Ufficio Progetti Ansaldo, Genova, 1941-1942".

Okay, the plans are held by the Marina Italiana historical office. It is possible that Ansaldo has copies as well and it might be easier to obtain the plans from them.
