Here are the two maps from An Abridged History.

The two maps of the Primavera Offensive above are from the Greek Official History. This map from the Greek Official that wasn't included in the Abridged edition. You will need to assemble the map as it is too big for my scanner.

It is fairly common for countries to use French. French was the diplomatic language for centuries. France was the country that supported Greece during the Balkans War and the 1GM. The weaponry was mainly French.

Given the Italian name is d.f Cacciatori delle Alpi, Alpine Chassuers is just as good as Alpine Hunters for English.

Just a guess on my part.
