Over twenty years of researching and writing about wartime Italy are distilled into my books.

Five of the titles are available in paperback: 'British Prisoners of War in Italy: Paths to Freedom,' 'Beyond the Wire,' 'Escape from Italy 1943-45,' 'At War in Italy 1943-1945,' and 'Mussolini, the Last 10 Days, a New Investigation.'

Two more are available in hardcover: 'SAS in Italy 1943-1945' and 'Among the Italian Partisans.'

And three of the books are also available in Kindle from Amazon: 'Mussolini, the Last 10 Days, a New Investigation,' 'SAS in Italy 1943-1945,' and 'Among the Italian Partisans.'

Full information on the books can be found by visiting www.amazon.co.uk and www.emiliapublishing.com

Hi Malcolm. Among Italian Partisans. Is this a balanced approach in relation to the Partisans and allied participants? Regards, Bob

Hi Malcolm. Among Italian Partisans. Is this a balanced approach in relation to the Partisans and allied participants? Regards, Bob
It certainly is, Bob. With an Italian mother and grandparents involved in the Resistance and a British father who was a soldier with the 8th Army from Sicily to the Alps it might be said to be my mission statement.

After a timeline, glossary, and chapter on unconventional warfare, there's an overview of Allied personnel in the partisan forces, and a chapter on the developing relationship between the Allies and the Resistance that finally helped ensure the victory in May 1945.

A further twelve chapters cover actions of guerilla warfare across German-occupied Italy involving escaped Allied prisoners of war, the Resistance, and British and American special operations.

For example, the first two chapters covered the brave resistance of the famous Cervi family of Gattatico and their assistance to over eighty escaped Allied prisoners of war, while the last chapter covers Operation Tombola and the mixed British/ Italian /Russian Allied Battalion of Major Roy Farran in Operation Tombola.

Plus photographs, endnotes, and bibliography.
