Helmet

Hello one of my christmas gift was M33 helmet and im asking if there is any way to know history of this helmet or something like date of manufacture(year) etc. Because there are 2 numbers on it(color is Green, number 57 on lether and AL34 on helmet)

57 is the size of the liner. The steel shell came in three sizes depending on the liner size. The AL 34 is a manufacturer's code, but I don't know what it means. If you Google WW2 helmet forums you will get some hits on places that might be able to answer your question.
