Today I got my copy of the new book "I cavalieri erranti" by Ludovico Slongo, Setefano Lazzaro, Eugenio Eusebi, Michele Palermo and Danilo Ventura, published by Gruppo Amici Velivoli Storici. It is the definitive account of the airwar in East Africa fought by the 412a Squadriglia Caccia Terrestre in 1940-1941. The book is entirely based upon Italian and British primary sources and each action is described in full detail taking into account both the sides. Each downing and even damage is checked using Italian and British documents and memoirs. The book provides also interesting data, hundreds of photos, and a broader narrative of airwar in East Africa. The text is in Italian only.
The printing quality is excellent, it is a limited edition of only 250 copies, and I wholeheartedly recommend this book. You can buy it directly from the author Ludovico Slongo by email: ludovico.slongo[at]gmail.com (replace [at] with @).

Honestly, I think that this book is even better than "Desert Prelude", because its print is of superb quality and its text covers the most unknown air campaign of WW2, and has required extensive researches not only in books, articles and archives, but also among the families of the airmen.
