Hi!

I´m interested in to know the names of the MVSN generals that have been in the spanish civil war, mainly focused in the 37-39 years and in the Littorio or Flechas Negras divisions.
Any help will be welcome

Regards

Note) All Italian officers were under an alias while in Spain and this is followed in parentheses after their rank and name
M.M.I.S (Missione Militare Italiana in Spagna, Italian Military Mission in Spain)
Major-General Mario Roatta (alias comm. Colli, alias Generale Mancini), who was also chief of the S.I.M. (Servizio Informazioni Militari, Military Information Service). Chief of its staff was Lieutenant-Colonel Emilio Faldella (Ferrari) and, later on, other S.I.M. and C.S. (Contro Spionaggio, Counter-espionage) officers of various ranks were attached to it. The mission also had a Carabinieri Reali detachment under Colonel Balsamo (Del Balzo).
Raggruppamento Artiglieria Contraerei (Anti-aircraft Artillery Group) was formed in Italy for employment in Spain with Milizia artiglieria Contraerei (Anti-aircraft artillery Militia) volunteers from Rome, Milan, Bologna and Napoli. Its four batteries were named according to the towns they came from. The Raggruppamento consisted of two groups, under Colonel Conti and was equipped with 75/27 CK anti-aircraft guns on Ceirano trucks.

Hi Maurizio!

Seems that the only Camici Nera in this units at that time was a man called Michele Morsero (Seniore) I found his record in Wikipedia but have almost none information of the Spainh civil war, just that he fought along the Battaglione Autonomo Laredo, after that he had a brilliant career with the Italian Army and the NVSN, being shot in 2 May 1945, theres any place to find some more extent military records from him in the Spanish civil war?

Best regards

Nacho

Unfortunately not at such detailed levels I would only have information about his life during CSR in Italy. On the war of Spain, in the official history of the Militia units, I found nothing. I'm sorry.....
