Additional Notes

Pietro Gazzera attended the Military Academy of Turin, graduating on 20 July 1899. He was appointed Senator on 12 December 1933. Member of the Commission for the Affairs of Italian Africa from 17 April 1939 – 28 January 1940. Gazzera was captured by Belgian forces on 6 July 1941, and handed over to the British,. He was imprisoned in Kenya, India and then in the United States. Gazzera repatriated to Italy after the signing of the armistice in September, 1943.
