Notes:

German prisoner of war from 21 September 1943. Interned in Poland in the 64/Z concentration camp of Schokken. In January 1945 he was evacuated from Schokken along with numerous high-ranking Italian officers following the advance of the Red Army. Exhausted from the long march, he was killed by an SS soldier on January 28, 1945.
